For those of you who have been following our page for a while, know that we love B2B marketplaces. Why? Simply because there is still so much terrain to win in the B2B space.
The mantra of Cutting out the middleman prevails in the venture ecosystem. An extra node in the supply chain would only hinder transactions, burden either the seller or the buyer with extra costs, and would only allow for opaque transactions. But don’t be fooled: these middlemen are exactly the type of founders we are looking for.
We really like marketplaces: from 1-sided to 3-sided and from horizontal to vertical. What makes a killer marketplace?
What to do (and most importantly, what not to do) when raising funds? How do you successfully secure your first term sheet?
We won’t sugarcoat it: having to report on a monthly and quarterly basis isn’t really what you signed up for when you decided to take the plunge and follow your entrepreneurial ambitions. But that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t care.
